Hi, its me again, ok so i was about to buy the celeron system but then the motherboard i was about to buy went out of stock and it was on clearence so i am not getting it, plus the celeron d 325 went out of sale. so i was thinking (although i dont like amd) to try an amd build since i heard its much better for gaming. i just need to learn some stuff about it. i saw this processor and its a sempron 64 2800+ 800mhz fsb, what exactly is its fsb? 200 quad pumped or 400 dual pumped, is this a good processor or is a athalon 2400+ 333mhz fsb better? also what is a good motherboard that is under $50 for these types of processors (754 pin)?
and thanks G-dogg |

Ok guys so this is what i am getting:
proc.:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819104249 mobo:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813138247 Ram:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820141165 PSU:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820141165 I was intending to go with the 2800+ but there is no diffrence between it and the 2600+ except for the cache memory but it doesnt really matter to me since i am not a multitasker anyways, and it looks like amd is much better than celeron d's at gaming. tell me what you think, hope this is the last time i have to post a list to buy cuz i find things cleared out in a couple of hours (soyo motherboard). and thanks g-dogg |

According to the Biostar CPU support page that motherboard doesn't support that CPU.
The PSU link goes to the PQI RAM. Cricket

I've used Celeron D systems at the university, and had heard that Semprons are pretty crappy but the only thing they don't excel at is multi-tasking. I used on in my girlfriend's computer and I'm jealous, her system beats the **** out of mine. Semprons are the way to go.

Cricket is correct - unless there's a bios update to allow use of the Sempron 64. The board officially supports standard Sempron 754 up to 3100+.

sry my bad the psu link is this: http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16817104988
another question, if this motherboard wouldnt work with the 64 bit sempron do you think it would work with the 32 bit sempron palermo? cuz there is another core for the sempron that is 333fsb while this is 800 fsb. |

i sent an email to biostar about the motherboards support for the 64 bit, they said the motherboard will recognize the cpu as "amd unkown" but when it is updated with the latest bios, should be able to recognize it as a 64bit sempron. btw i orderd all the parts yesterday, how long do you think it takes them to ship it? (they hadent shipped it yet but they took the money and verified my address)
