Hi mark santangelo,
Welcome to PC Mechanic !! ![]() RAID is not required for video editing, not to mention I'm not a fan of it due to the risk of data loss. If you go with RAID 5 to protect data, then you quad your price. Maxtors are my favorite drives, but I'd go with the Dia Max 10 series with 16MB cache. They are so fast that the give the famous Raptors a run for the money, even beating it in some benchmarks. The 300GB drive has been on sale for around $115 at Newegg a lot lately. You'll need the space over 120GB in a RAID config. I'm not knocking Abit, but they are geared toward OCers and are rumored to be a little finicky. I'd take a look at some Asus mobos, as they are known for stability and reliability, and are pretty fast, too. HTH TwoRails |

Nice selection!
Your motherboard will come with SATA cables, you don't need extra. I also don't see a Power Supply in your list - what model have you chosen? Freakitchen

PSUs that come with cases are nearly always of horrid quality. You'll need a quality unit that conforms to ATX2 standard (24 pin) for your motherboard.
Look for brands like Antec/Enermax/Tagen - 400w or above. The PSU sticky in the General Hardware forum contains a list of quality brands. Freakitchen |

Looks pretty good, mark santangelo! I'm not familiar with that monitor brand, nor that PS brand. The case looks pretty nice. You may want to look at the PS sticky for some tips:

If you aren't planning on adding a second video card in the future, you can save some cash by getting the non-sli version of that motherboard. If you are you will want to get to check that motherboard, video card and PSU are on the list at http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone_build.html
