Awesome Gaming PC build for under 1,000!! Check it out
I've been out of the pc building world for awhile so bear with me, but I took it on as a challenge to see what the best gaming pc I could build for under a 1,000. That includes monitor, keyboard & mouse, and 5.1 speakers. Check it out:

A good starting point for budget gamers. Although, I can't recommend enough going for a PCI express motherboard.

I agree with the PCIE comment. I would also NOT put that PSU in my PC. I would spend ~$20 more and get the 450 watt XClio.

You also left off an OS, add $80-$100 for windows Xp oem.

Not too sure about the choice of socket 754 either. Admittedly, they are cheaper, but that's only because they're the next to be phased out.
Going skt 939 gives the upgradability that the majority of home-builders like to have. It also means you'll probably have to settle for a 3000+ ![]() Freakitchen
