Please help guys

I Have just put together my pc and i have a problem. My gpu is a Gigabyte 6600gt (the one with no fan, just a heatpipe sysytem) , my ram is crucial 512 3200 ddr 400 , 3200 amd64, mobo is a8n5x and a bluestorm400 psu. I turn the pc on and get a small beep, nothing comes on my screen. Now, what i have been thinking, my Monitor 15 pin plug has a pin missing ,this could be it. But when i plug it into my laptop it shows the image fin. Trouble is i cant see if my gpu is working because it is silent pipe. i find it odd i dont have to plug anyting into the pci-e gpu. Please help, do you need more info?

The monitor cable should be missing a pin, thats normal. There's no place to plug in a 6 pin cable on the video card?

Did you try the out of the case build I posted? Does your 6600GT have a place to plug in a power cable? Did you plug in the 4 pin power connector above the CPU?

I believe the 6600GT does not require an extra power connector (none that I've seen do, anyway). The out of case build, and the extra 4 pin that blue mentioned are the best places to start, post back with the results of this.

I think you can be forgiven for that one Can your optical drive still read the windows disc?
