Which thermal compound do I use?
29 November 2005.
0153 Hrs. FM: RedSword SUBJECT: Which thermal compound do I use? I just bought an ABIT motherboard, an Intel P4 CPU, and a thermaltake heatsink. I need to purchase a silver thermal compound. Which brand name is better? After doing a froogle search I came up with seven candiates. 1. StarTech silver based thermal heatsink grease. 2. Artic silver ceramique premium high density compound. 3. Antec thermal paste. 4. OCZ Utlra 5+ silver thermal compound. 5. Akasa thermal compound. 6. Shin-etsu G-765 thermal paste. 7. Spire STARS-700 silver grease thermal cooling paste for heat sink. Which one do you recommend? Thank You. Awaiting your response. RedSword. |

Shin-etsu if you can get it. Awesome stuff.
Arctic Silver Ceramique isn't a silver based thermal compound, you want Arctic Silver 5. Cricket
