Help!! Problems with First Build

Okay, here are the specs:

AMD 64 3000+ Socket 939 Venice
Biostar N4SLI-A9 Motherboard
MSI NV6600LE Video Card
Western Digital 80GB SATA 7200 RPM Hard Drive
Aopen DVD-RW Drive
DiabloTek 450W Power Supply

I put it all together today. When I turn it on, all of the fans spin. The monitor turns on and displays a Biostar logo. There seem to be a couple of beeps. Then...nothing. The screen goes blank and that's that.

Any ideas? I'd love to get this thing running. Thanks in advance!

Never heard of that power supply brand...could be that, or it could be overheating...make sure the heatsink is fully attatched.

Wait, a couple beeps? Try pulling out all non-essential stuff (leaving one stick of RAM, CPU, and vid card).

Listen to the beeps carefully, and check your motherboard manual for the beep code. The pattern of beeps could be diagnostic, and might be telling you where the problem is.
