This is my first time using an AMD cpu. Rig will mainly be used for gaming(BF2, Far Cry).
Might swap Maxtor HDD for 2 Seagate 160GB SATA150 running in RAID(local Fry's Elec has seagate 160 for $49AR).
Would I see a worthwhile performance boost upping the RAM to 2gb.

Any opinion/suggestions on parts?

are you going to be getting SLI , if not then theres no need for an SLI motherboard.

if you dont use floppies, drop the floppy drive.

IMO I would keep the SLI since you'll never know if your going to use it and besides a lot of motherboards are now offering SLI (or crossfire for ATI) that it's almost becoming a mute point.

BTW - I think that's a very nice setup so far

Looks very good. I have a preference for Seagate drives, so I'd switch that but that is STRICTLY a personal thing...I just like the five year warranty.

BF2 can benefit from 2 gigs of memory (you will get less lag and faster load times). Other games such as F.E.A.R. and COD2 also perform better, but 1 gig is more than enough for any other games currently out there. You could certainly start with 1 gig and add more later if you need to.

You won't need a EPS12V server power supply. Get the Truepower II 550 (not the EPS12V).

I would keep the floppy drive, you are likely to need it for installing drivers, sata controller, bios updates, etc.
