My new build won't boot at all

It's an Abit AN8 SLI board with AMD 4200+, corsair XMS ram, a PNY 7800GT, and a Seasonic S12 power supply. It's out-of-case right now. Originally I tried it connected to everything (hdd, floppy, dvd, 2 sticks of ram), but when I turned on the power supply, nothing happened on the mobo -- no fans turned or anything -- except for the POST LED reading "E" momentarily, then "10". So I disconnected everything, and started all over again, but this time only put in one stick of ram, the video card, and the power, and nothing else. same exact deal. no fans turn on, nothing happens except the POST LED lighting up with "E" then "10". Or maybe I'm reading the LED upside down and it really reads "3" then "01"? Anybody have any thoughts?

Isn't that what I just described in my original post? I looked at that thread (at least the original post describing the procedure) and tried to follow that. I'm still unable to boot or post even in that configuration.

Ohh, whoops...sorry. I was in a bit of a hurry. Hmm...do you have the square 4 pin power connector plugged in near the CPU?

Yep. I've got a total of three power cables plugged in right now -- the 24 pin big one, the 4 pin that's near the cpu, and also another small one plugged into my video card.

Yes, the little pin connector is in correctly -- I just doublechecked. I'm going to give this a rest for the night and get back at it tomorrow after work. Maybe a new day will make things go better.
