looks good to me.
You have to ask yourself if you will really take advantage towards a dual-core ship though. What do you use this machine for? i'm assuming gaming seeing as you have a $500 GPU. If it's just for gaming maybe a dual-core isn't worth it. It's a personal prefrence though. |

Go with the 4400+, the only difference the 4600+ will offer is a higher speed, but lower cache. Really it's a waste of money. And as far as going to dual, those chips will be futureproof. they are the future, single will be on it's way out in the near future, so might as well invest now.

Where are you getting a 7800GTX 512Mb for $500?????? Let me know, 'cause if you are I'm in! Those cards, when in stock, are running $750 from Newegg and ZZF.

Processor doesn;t really effect FPS enough to the point where you'll notice it. Go with the 4400+ X2.

Whatever new motherboard you get will probably have pretty good 8 channel sound builtin that you might want to try before you buy a card.

Depends...if you just have a basic set of 2 speakers you probably won't notice a difference. But if you have a quality, expensive set of speakers, then you might.

The sound card will be better and i dont think anyone is questioning that it's just that the onboard sound may be fine and you my not need the sound card
