Friend Needs Your Help For X-Mas

Hey, a friend of mine was looking to pick this up. I know there's plenty out there for better bang for his buck. Any suggestions? Here's what he's got:

all the basic stuff but add this stuff

no hard drive.. i can get one cheaper with more space.. Seagate 250GB 7200RPM 8MB Buffer Hard Drive $69.99


at some other place. X2Gen MG19MY 19-inch LCD Monitor $199.99

Prolly will find better speakers somewhere else

Toss the power supply in the case...that one is crap.

If this is going to be a gaming machine, you'll want a much better video card. At least one that does not use TurboCache as it hogs up system (main) RAM.

If you are going to be adding to this and replacing some things, why not just buy everything from newegg or somewhere similar?

Those were my thoughts. He's a friend from a car forum I'm on. I told him his best bet was just buying everything from newegg (what I did 2 years ago) but I'm not up to date on all the new hardware for computers no a days. I've still got my ATI 9600XT, AMD 2500+, 1 gig of 3200 Corsair Ram.
