May want faster ram. that's about all I found wrong with the build.

Here are my recommendations for a 7800GTX:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130254
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150100
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814143036

and your monitor will be able to connect to the 7800GTX through the DVI port on both the monitor and card. The only way you would be able to connect your monitor to your motherboard is if it had integrated veideo, which it doesn't.

Why faster RAM? It isn't going to run any faster. The board may not support anything faster.

Looks like a nice build

Nice build !
May I suggest the option of an SLI certified motherboard so that you can leave your options open in the future to add in a second video card without having to replace the motherboar. Just my two cents, other than that it looks pretty good.

You can save some cash if you can get that case without the power supply.

The evga is better, and I already explained how your monitor will connect to them in my previous post.

I'd recommend the eVGA brand. It has dual DVI outputs for your monitor (commonly used with LCDs), but if you have a CRT (or LCD) with a VGA connection, the card comes with appropriate adapters so you can use VGA monitors as well.

Both cases are fine, however I would recommend the aspire as it has some good airflow.

Get the one that you like. You are the one that has to look at it, not us.

I've got the Antec LANBOY and I like it...I don't really like the looks of the ASPIRE one, but if you like the looks, go for it.

Just to give an opinion...the Antec is higher quality than Aspire.

Nope, athlon 64s run cool. I would recommend getting a 120mm fan to put in the back of the case, it'll help move more air around.

This one is probably the best SLi board for the money

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131517

There is also this one which is the fastest and maxes otu the performance of both cards

He's talking about SLI. In short, it allows you to run two identical video cards to increase performance. Like Ryan said, you could get one 7800GTX now and then a year from now when prices are way down, put in another to almost double perfomance.

The ASUS A8N-SLI is an excellent SLI board.

the aspire comes with 2 80mm fans. I ould recommend he puts the 2 80mm's in the front to cool the harddrives and have the 120mm in the back as an exhaust. He can add 1 more fan(2 if his powersupply doesn't cover up the blowhole) to the side.

You have to get an 80mm this time. Your case only has one place for a 120mm.
