Advice Requested on Upgrades/Overhaul

I fear my current mobo is shot. (I've posted a thread about it elsewhere.) Since that is the case I've been looking at upgrades/whatnot.

I currently have:
Antec Performance case which is the equiv to this.
Enermax PSU which is probably overkill.
Nvidia FX 5900 DDR 128 AGP Video Card
Sony DRU-720A DVD/CD RW -/+ Unit
Sony MPF920-Z 3.5 Floppy
USB Mouse and a ps/2 Keyboard
OS: Windows XP Pro

What I'd like to purchase:
Edit: forgot to list the mobo: ASUS A8V Socket 939 VIA K8T800 Pro ATX AMD Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego 1GHz FSB Socket 939 Processor
CORSAIR ValueSelect 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200)
Western Digital Caviar SE WD2500JD 250GB 7200 RPM Serial ATA150

I also have 2 Western Digital 120GB WD1200 IDE Drives. If at all possible, I'd like to try and salvage what data is on here. So these are not included in the build. I probably won't RAID Stripe again after this experience.

This rig will basically be your game playing/minimal vid editing/email/word processing do it all type thing without breaking the bank.

I think I've done sufficient homework in determining whether or not this is compatible with what I have. Any thoughts or opinions on this?

What motherboard and processor do you currently have? You may have to get a new motherboard if the CPU socket on it isn't socket 939.

Same thing goes for RAM. If you've already got DDR400 you won't need to get more (at least not as much).

The mobo I have is a Socket A and a Athlon XP 1900 CPU. My current RAM is 266 pc 2100.

I edited my first post. I forgot to add the mobo in the list.

I have reason to believe my mobo or cpu is done. I've already posted about those on a different part of the forum, thats why I am now looking to upgrade using what componants I do have.

Thanks for your time.

Well then everything appears ok to me. Note, if you want to upgrade your graphics card in the future you will have to get a new mobo, as newer graphics cards aren't being made in AGP anymore.
