tv tuner
per my sig, you can see the desktop pc i have. i am interested in an internal pci-e tv tuner to use as a pvr. i have a crt monitor so i am not too concerned with hd capabilities. i would like to keep the price under 100.0 usd. anyone got any ideas for hardware that will be optomized for windows mce 2005? most units ive seen have avermedia components.

Just a heads up, you can do HDTV on your CRT monitor.
Anyway, there are many options in that price range. I would recommend the Hauppauge PVR-150. It has a hardware MPEG 2 encoder which takes a big load off the CPU when recording.

You might also consider an ATI TheaterPro 550 based card. I was wanting to get a Hauppauge MCE500 but buget had me select a TheaterPro 550 by MSI
