Talking Budget PC build, ordering on 23 December

Okay guys I am planning on a nice budget PC for playing some DivX movies and watching satellite TV on and playing the odd racing car game or whatever. I have some choices to make. I have been saving for some time in order to go ahead with this machine. This computer will be hooked up to a TV set, I know it'll be okay though, I checked. Here are my parts list:

Mobo/CPU
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=98783

RAM
GeIL 512MB PC3200 Value CAS2.5
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/GeIL_Value.html

CASE/PSU
OcUK Value Aspire X-Qpack Cube Case - Silver
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/OcUK_Value.html

DVDRW
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=97237

Mouse/Keyboard (5th UP)
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatal...ations_54.html

GFX
I aleady have a PCI Nvidia 5200 128MB I could use for now if I was upgrading it I'd get a ATi 9800 or whatever.

TV Card
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=54275

NETWORKING

I'll have two computers so I need one router and two PCI card things.

Right then, I have a PATA hard disk and for my media I have a SATA 320GB. So is it good to order as I am planning on having ordered it before upcoming crimbo I have enough money right NOW!! So please PCM pimp my rig!

Nice build, i dont know how much is an euro comparing to an american dollar (i think its almost the same). but you can get a tv tuner for less then that. thats pretty much it, nice rig

Probably, but that one has the ability to decode satellite feeds.

Hehe. First I use Pounds Sterling (£) not Euro you can use www.XE.com to convert currencies.

The reason I chose that TV Card was it's a satlittle one and works with pay-per-view which is fairly rare to find.

Should the stock CPU cooler fit as it's a small case. Also I think a wise chose is to buy a better FAN, prehaps a Delta (70DbA/170CFM) as I'll have alot in the little box. :P

A stock fan *should* fit with no problems. I definitely would not use a Delta fan, unless you want your case to have the ability to fly. If it's rated at 70 dba, you are getting close to the noise level of vacuum cleaner.

Question, if your computer will be hooked up to the TV, why are u watching it on your computer if ur next to ur TV. I assume that you are using a longer cable to go to another room.

That motherboard has a built in LAN port, you won't need a pci card on it, unless you need two for some reason, your other motherboard might have one too.
Also aspire power supplies are among the worst on the market and should be avoided.

jayb1234, thankyou for your reply.

The reason I am getting them PCI network cards is because the are WIRELESS so I can stream movies off my upstairs PC, one more question will I get 108Mbps in speed? as the PCI cards are at 125Mbps, but router is only 108Mbps?

Right, so different case/PSU then.

http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=15130

The reason I advoided it before was I heard heat was a problem with, I think I better FAN would fix it though.

I am ordering it all from eBuyer now.

I think it's a better idea come to think of it to get the Aspire case/PSU it looks much nicer but the PSU is not very good. If I do have a problem I could just buy a newer PSU for example the bottom one.

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatal...ermax_111.html

It'd still fit in the case right?

Okay all looks good the money is in the bank and and everything, I am ordering TOMORROW any last words please as I don't wanna find out something is bad or in compatible.

Thanks guys.

That'll work, but it's WAY overboard.

I'm thinking something like this should do the trick:
