Another new build for your consideration...

Hey guys

Just wanted a few second opinions on a build i'm putting together for a friend. This will be an internet / office tasks machine only, however, I was given an open ended budget. For this reason, I've put a low end graphics card in rather than on board video and not really tried to cut corners. Here's what i came up with

Asus K8V-X Socket-754 VIA K8T800 ATX- Sound Gb-Lan USB2 800FSB SATA-Raid Retail Box

AMD Sempron 2800+ (SDA2800BXBOX) 64Bit Architecture 1.6ghz Skt 754 Box

Corsair (VS512MB400) 512MB, DDR400 / PC3200, non-ECC, 184 DIMM, unbuffered, CL2.5, 32Mx8 DRAMs, Lifetime Warranty

Antec SLK1650/mt 350w Smart ATX Black Case

Sapphire Radeon 9250 128MB AGP8x DDR 64-bit DVI-I TV-Out Lite-Retail Box

Seagate ST380817AS Barracuda 80GB 7200RPM SATA/150 8MB Cache - OEM

NEC ND3550A 16x DVD±RW Dual Layer Internal IDE (Black) - OEM

Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop Elite 105 Key - PS2/USB Retail Box

Microsoft OEM Windows XP Home Edition inc SP2 - 1Pk

The recipient of this already owns a TFT, so no monitor required.

Total cost of parts + shipping £364

Please let me know your thoughts!

I'll second that.

Does that NEC burner come with Nero? LITE-ON's do, not sure about that NEC.

Just checked on the burner, it comes completely OEM without any software, so I'll be swapping it to the Lite-on for Power DVD & Nero. Thanks for the reminder Blue.

I see a keyboard but no mouse.....do they already have the mouse? Other than that, looks like a good office system.
