Can you post the full specs of this build, to help with troubleshooting?

That includes the brand and wattage of the Power Supply.

Also, is your copy of windows a legitimate one, or a burned copy?

could it be the way i set up what boots first, its the cd drive first then hdd.

or could it be that i set up the dvd drive as a the primary master and hdd as secondary master?

and i dont think its overheating because ive been running it in the bios for like 30 minutes and the xp setup takes like 10 minutes. and yes its always the same time, right after its done loading everything and then it will say "starting windows", after it will show a blue screen shortly then turn off

It can be 3 things, the HD thats defective, the CD that is bad, or the DC-rom that is defective.
the boot sector dosent matter over this, since you started installing windows XP that means that the CD-rom is the first boot, keep it that way (but it dosent really matter).

The HD should be the primary Master, and opticals as Secondary master, or secondary slave.

You can not use the same copy of windows on more than 1 computer. It is illegal. Why didn't you buy a new copy?

Hi i had a similiar problem. Loading then blue screen then restart.

It took me a while and i found that it wasnt a hardware issue load the fail safe defaults in the bios and load optimized defaults in bios and restart see if this helps.

Sorry but Forum Rules prohibit providing support for illegal software or installations. You need to purchase a new XP disk for this system to be legal.
