i would go with the build
it isnt necessarily a better computer but it should be easier to upgrade if you want
also you will need a copy of windows for it

if youre encoding/decoding video just go with intel but the second setup looks good for me and it will also perform better than the first setup so if u are not doing any heavy ideo editing go with the second setup.

If you are looking at Dells, they have some pretty good deals in thier outlet page, and if you wait a few weeks there will probably be a lot bigger selection because of Christmas returns.

I'd choose the Dell. If you want to go with the build at least get a true PCI-E board (Like the ASUS A8N-E) and a PCI-E video card, like the X300.

go with the build at least sometime down the road if you want to upgrade you can with out problems ,have you had to speak to dell service support ???(india)

i seem partial to the amd setup.. i am looking for a new board with a decent price for the video card. it needs to have vivo and a tv tuner.....

so much to decide.....

Go with a build. Dell's are OK but the build will always be upgradeable.
