Change the Roswell PSU to Enermax,Sparkle,Forton or one of the other better brands. Rosewell, I believe is Newegg's house brand, so you wouldn't know who really made it.

Any reason why you're not going with the newest AMD socket (939)? 754 will be phased out soon, reducing your ability to upgrade that system in the future.

As 939 is the current socket type, you'll probably find prices aren't much different. You'll definitely appreciate it if you come to upgrade at some point.
Try putting a 939 build together and seeing how much it will cost - having looked at your parts, i've got the following recommendations: 1) Try figuring an ASUS motherboard in there. If the price proves a stumbling block, choose from the next 'tier of quality' - MSI & Gigabyte would be my suggestions. 2) Definitely change the power supply to a quality brand - one that conforms to ATX2 (24 pin) specs. 3) I'd get Corsair Value Select RAM. Good quality stuff. I see you're planning on re-using your video card, which i'm guessing is AGP, as opposed to PCI-Express. If so, make sure you choose a motherboard with AGP. Freakitchen |

The answer here, is not very much! There have been a number of discussions on the whereabouts of PCI-E x1, but I personally haven't seen much in the way of expansion cards in that format.
I have seen a network card....but most motherboards come with 1, if not 2 network adaptors inbuilt. The video card slot, however, is PCI-E x16. If you already have an AGP card, then you'll be looking for a motherboard witha an AGP slot, instead. Freakitchen |
