Monitor Does Not turn On

I just build a Brand New Comp:

Parts:

CPU: http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=CEL2130D478-NB

MOBO: http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=L4VXA2

Memory: http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...796&pfp=BROWSE

Graphics Card:http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...020&pfp=BROWSE

Now when I press On, on my PC only the CPU fan turns on, the case fan turns on, but the monitor does not turn on. The GFX card is installed in my PCI slot, this is a fresh install. The monitor is new and I tested with my other computer before.

Try the out of case assembly specified in this thread

http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=132409

Also, most motherboards today require an extra 4 pin 12v power connector, ususally situated near the CPU. If you've forgotten to connect this, you will get no display.

Do you mean the Graphics card is installed in your AGP slot?

Well that's an AGP card...it won't go into a PCI slot.

I too am still having this problem. I was missing the extra 4 pin connector near the video card. I got to the motherboard screen ONCE, but no longer can i do so (I hadn't had anything put in HD, optical etc.) so i just took it out...any suggestions?

Please start your own thread for this one, TiredTendencies. You'll get more specific help that way.
