3rd Build, 1st Problem
Hey guys, ive been around this site for a while but I finally decided to sign up....because i need some help. First off here are my components
MotherBoard: A8n32-SLI deluxe CPU: AMD X2 4800+ Video Card(s): 2x BFG 7800 GT OC in SLI Memory: OCZ 1GB PC4800 HD: Regular Maxtor 160GB PWR Sup: ENERMAX All in One Noisetaker Series 600W ATX12V etc.. Ok...so i assembled everything, but when i go to boot up, the cpu fan does not spin, and the CD/DVD does not open....also no matter what i do nothing appears on my monitor. I have tried the "assemble out of case thing" with only the main parts installed and still no luck, i am not sure what to do now and could use some help. Also, the case fans and the video card fans work. Please help me out, thanks. Edit: So im guessing the problem is with the CPU, Motherboard, Power Supply or Memory. Also everything was purchased new from newegg. -John Last edited by MasterC; 12-27-2005 at 06:21 PM. |

The SAME thing is happening to me! I recommend bringing the WHOLE thing into Best Buy and seeing if they can run a system diagnostics test on it and pinpoint what could be going awry. That is what I have just done, and will go in tomorrow to hear what they have to say . . .

Do you have any other computers that you could test the parts in?

Check the back of the motherboard for burned spots.

Ok, so i got the CD/DVD drive to open, it was just a jumper setting problem...but the CPU-fan and no boot-up is still happening. And no, no burn signs,
