Upgrading to dual monitor
I am looking to get a new dual monitor video card for my homebuilt PC. I am thinking about the XFX GeForce 6600 GT but I don’t know anything about DVI.
My two 19” gateway monitors have standard connectors so will I need to buy any type of adapter to make them work or does anyone know of a better dual monitor card in the same >$200 price range? I am not much of a gamer but I do a fair amount of video editing and multi-tasking. Also should I get a new power supply to support video card?Thanks- Tony |

Thanks for your help Darkkon, I found a picture that looks like it has a connector but I was not sure because it doesn’t say anything about it in the specs.
Doctorgonzo, I have a Viotek 700W ATX PSU w/ Modular UV reactive shielded cables Metallic Black w/ Green. It works well but when I bought it I was looking for more style over substance. I am just worried about running into problems with a new video card using more power and supporting a second monitor. I keep this puter on all the time. |
