Welcome to the fourm, as for your question both cases and motherboards come in diff sizes. Such as MicroAtx, ATX..etc. Usually a case will support more then one form factor. I believe this is your motherboard which is an Intel compatible motherboard. It says it is MicroAtx. I won't pick a case for you because it all depends on personal taste, just find a case either MicroAtx or Midtower that also supports microatx (they usually do). Good luck, post some searches, and people here will tell you if it's compatible.

Welcome to PCMechanic, cybercide!

You can't use any case with any motheboard. You have to look at the form factors involved. That motherboard is an ATX motherboard, so it will need an ATX case. Are you looking for a gamers case or simple sensible one? Here are a couple at Newegg:-

Decent sensible case - You may want to drop the PSU that comes with it.

Decent gamer's case - Aspire does not have a good track record for their PSU's, so I'd drop the PSU that comes with this case.

The two cases I featured are only Mid Tower ATX, you can sniff around Newegg to have a look at some Full Tower ATX ones though.

If you want something flashy i would go with anything thermaltake. I personally have the Tt Xaser armour series. And its great lookin and cools nicely as well. Huge too. You can never go wrong with an antec, great sensibility and efficiency. But then again it all depends on your budget. These 2 can be on the higher end.

Hi, a couple of cases that will work and are good / inexpensive are the ANTEC SLK3000 w/o psu or SLK1650 w/ 350w psu - no frills, but they both are designed for intel boards and are easy to work with. lol

this one blows all those other cases suggested right out of the water:

i know it comes with a power supply, but all you have to do is spend about 80 more bucks on a good PSU such as the antec truepower 550 watter, or the enermax noisetaker 485 watter, and you are good to go

This is lame advice, and I am coming in after this issue has been resolved. But I would recommend any builder to check the manuf website to double check the retailer's claim re ATX/MicroATX. I just got my first mobo from newegg and they said ATX, when I got it, the form factor was micro ATX and I checked the manuf site and newegg was wrong. Of course, they took care of it, but I had to do a lot of re-shopping and waiting while the new hardware came in.

Now that I know more, I should have known that the mobo was micro just by the photo, but I was very very green when I started.

What makes this case so much better than the other cases mentioned? Doesn't look like anything special to me...chrome trim looks kind of tacky.

A micro-ATX motherboard will mount into a standard ATX case.

Just find an ATX case that you like the looks of. Keep in mind that one man's trash is another man's treasure.

Also keep in mind, you generally get what you pay for. Cheap cases (~<$60) are generally, well cheap, they can be flimsy and have sharp edges inside. More expensive ones (>$100) are generally more sturdy and clean.

A few good brands to look at are Antec, Lian Li, Thermaltake, and that's just a few.
