My First Build :)

This was my first build but everything seems to be going fine. My question is how big of a power supply would i need if i wanted to run 4 dvdrws and 2 harddrives in it.I do alot of audio ripping and dvd duplicating. I have a thermaltake 420watt which can power up but then after that at the windows xp loading screen it halts. I removed the power from the 2 dvdrws and 1 hard drive and it booted no problem (Did take a minute). If this helps at all here are my specs

P4 3.4GHZ W/HT
Intel 915PBL Mobo
ATI Radeon 850 XT PCI Express
2PLEXTOR 716A
1PLEXTOR 712A
1 TDK 840G
1 MAXTOR 160GB IDE
1 MAXTOR 250GB IDE

Would you think a 500 watt should be sufficent enough or should i go with something even bigger and what should i look for as in specs for the power supply

Thanks for your help once again guys!

You may want to go a little bigger on the power supply (525 to 550) and make sure you get a good quality power supply.

This Antec gets reccommended a lot around here and should be enough power.
Thermaltake has some really nice cases but thier power supplies arent the best.
