Bios Help

Bios Help

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have just got done upgrading my old PC witha new case, motherboard, and a Geforce 7800 GT 256mb ram. It also is a P4 3.2ghz HT, with 2GB of RAM. And my problem is that I used my old hard-drive, and that the operating system is on there, but the company we bought the computer off of (HP, got it through best buy) did not supply us with the XP disk, so I tried to put in the Windows ME disk, and when I did this it said that I had already installed an OS, and so that made me happy because we knew we installed the HD right, but now, how do I get my OS back, or do I have to buy a disk? or is there a completely different problem because we can only get as far aas the blinking - sign, and thats about it, or when you reboot you can get the the Phoenix Awardbios Cmos Setup Utility, but no farther then those 2 options, and I am stuck on what to do from here. PLEASE HELP!!!

You can't use the OS from the HP on the new system - it is tied to the old system. You'll have to get a new copy of Win XP (get the OEM to save $100), or use Win ME.
