Cheapo System

I have a few parts laying around that I want to throw into a new secondary system just for the sake of putting them to use.

Now I need to purchase a processor and motherboard. My price cap is about $140 preferrable, upto 180 give or take, for both of these components.

I have an 8x AGP card that I want to use, so that limits things.

I haven't really thought about AMD's budget offerings but I'm open to suggestions.

I've seen on Newegg, the P4 2.4A for a little over $100, alongside Celeron M processors. I'm not sure if I should go for this (the P4 is a bit old and a bit over mu budget), and I'm not even sure of a typical socket 478 board can take a Cel M.

Bearing in mind that this is just going to be an auxilliary system (bed-side web surfing, mp3 player, kitchen entertainment box?? etc.) so I don't need much power. I just have a ram kit, an IDE HD, an 8x AGP video card (crappy FX5600xt) and an Antec 350W PSI that I don't want to go to waste.

So which budget options will give me the most performance for the least cost? I need some help in this department because I am generally apprehensive about using celerons or semprons or the like.

THX for CPU suggestions! Also, I tend to prefer ABIT and ASUS mobos, and would be willing to try DFI, so please throw some mobo suggestions my way!

I'm liking these suggestions. It's a little bit costlier than I had in mind, but the gigabit internet will allow me quick and easy transfers from my primary machine.
