Front Audio/USB Port Help

For the first time I changed my computer case, on the original case i never used my front audio/usb connection because it is slower in some extent than the back, and having 8 usb ports in the back of my computer i never had a problem with going to the front. Anyway, my problem occured when I changed my case and had a problem with matching up the jumpers or the case cables to my motherboard, if anyone has any advice on how to set up the front power, reset button, audio, or USB cables, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

do you not have the user manual for your motherboard ?

if not, you can download one from the MB web sight free
it will give you all the information you need.

there is no differance in the speed of the usb ports, they all come off the same controller. unless one might be damaged from a overload.

On the original HP case, were the connectors being used a single block on the end of a ribbon cable, or were they individual connectors, separately labled, with coloured wires?

Often, brand name computers have proprietary parts and connectors - if you have the ribbon cable configuration, you're going to have problems making the case transplant work.

They were organized as a block and color coated at the end where I can see the location of each color. Should I match up the colors from the original to the case jumper, or do the colors make no difference, also the case has a few more wires for the audio section than the original wires. Thank you.
