purposely upgraded my pc because of F.E.A.R.

damnit FEAR is down !! i recently purchased the game and when i had it installed i couldnt believe how poorly my computer was running it. after doing some reading and researching i learned that fear demands a lot from your pc. so after some MORE reading and researching i bought some parts from newegg and i just want them to be verified if its a decent enough for running FEAR

Mobo: Asus A8N-5X nForce4 Socket 939
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego 939 1 MB L2 cache
Memory: Corsair Value Select 1 GB (2x 512 mb)
Video Card: Connect3D X800GTO 256 MB
Hard Drive: (any reccomendations?)
Power Supply: currently has 350 watts....should i upgrade to 400 or maybe more?

any tips ?

well thanks for reading this and please reply.

I think that the memory you chose will work well. Only go to the performance ram if you plan to overclock. You *may* want to go to 2 gigs, but I'm not sure what kind of a performance boost you'd see.

You should definitely plan on using nothing less than a 400W PSU, and don't forget to check out this thread which discusses reputable PSU brands.

Harddrive

You should look at getting a fast hard drive if you are worried about gaming performance. Sata's are nice to have if your motherboard supports them. A 16mb cache is always helpful. Otherwise, try a 10,000 rpm IDE

The 10,000 rpm Raptors are SATA only (at least I think so). If you can afford it, I'd defintely go for one of the 16mb cache hard drives.
