Quick Question....

Right now I have a:

ASUS a7n8x MoBo
AMD Athlon Barton 2500+
1G Ram
180g HDD space
Radeon 9600XT

I have a little bit of money to upgrade. What should I upgrade?

I was thinking of either upgrading the video to either Nvidia 6600GT 128mb, or Nvida 6600 356mb, or Radeon 9800XT.

I also considered upgrading the RAM to 2G.

I can only afford to upgrade one thing right now. I have between $150-$200, so not enough to do everything.

Which should I upgrade?

What kind of games are you playing, if any? What do you want to do with your computer?

most newer games.

EA Sports Games...
Half-Life 2...
Unreal Tournament '04...
World of Warcraft...
Sims 2...

Also look forward to playing some newer games coming out this year. Unreal 2006 and so forth.

I'd go with the video card then. I've heard good things about the X800GTO2 card, it sounds like a good value for the money.

Sorry. I wish I could afford or had the expansion slot for a X800GTO2, but I don't. Prob the best cards I can afford are 6600GT 128mb, 6600 256mb, or 9800XT. I currently have a 9600xt.

I'm not sure if any video card I could afford would be that much of a leap from the 9600XT.
