PSU, basic question
Hello,
I just received this PSU from Newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817189003 This may sound stupid but does the fan face up touching the top of the case or face down into where all the components are. thanks |

I think I fiqured it out, the screw holes only line up when the fan is facing down. Am I right, or would I need to make new holes?

Yes, the fan faces down. If it were facing up jammed against the top of the case it wouldn't do much good.

Thanks Gonzo,
I have one more question, I also received my graphics card today I am looking at the power connecter for the PCI-E and it has a 6 pin connecter to plug into the card, but it then has two plugs which look like it should go into the PSU. They look like the plugs for the optical drives 4 hole connectors but one has 3 pins in it and the other has two. Do I plug them both into the PSU? |

What graphics card is it? Do you mean that there is a six-pin power connector on the card as well as two other connectors on the card? Or are you saying that the PCI-E power connector has a six-pin connector on one end and two connectors on the other?

You don't need the PCI-E power cord that came with the card. If you take a look, you will have a black six-pin PCI-E connector from the PSU that is already available.

No, the one I am talking about is already connected to the PSU. You don't need any adapter cords. The extra one with the PSU is if you have two PCI-E cards.
