I just looked at the Dell outlet page and saw a Dimension 4700 Micro-Tower 3.20GHz, 800 FSB Hyperthreading Pentium 4 Processor 540 , 160Gb hard drive, Windows XP, and a double layer dvd burner for $416. They have a lot of machines in the $400 range there. Go to this page and hit View Inventory.

Does that Dell have onboard video? You definitely don't want to go with onboard video.

Some of them do, some don't. Depends on what they happen to have when you check. Look for one that at least has the capacity to install a video card later.

Whatever you do don't get one with onboard video, or like Jay said, get one with a PCI-E slot to add one.
