Help with power

I'm building my first solo gaming computer and have been slowly stockpiling all of my components. Here's my question. I purchased a EVGA eGeForce 7800gt GDDR3 256MB PCI-E and have been reading some threads about having a power supply or even 600w. My current power supply that I recently purschased is 430w Thermaltake TR2-430w. Is this enough power or do I need to get a 500w system?

I already have an Antec BLK-2650 BQE case, 1GB OCZ memory, lite on DVD Burner, Maxtor 250GB HDD, and a EVGA N-Force SLI Edition Mobo.

I am going to get a Dual Core AMD 3800 and a monitor soon too. Any suggestions on a monitor as well? I would like to get something bigger than 20", no price range yet for this.

Thanks!

I would suggest replacing that PSU...430w is definitely on the boarderline for that system, and Thermaltake PSUs, whilst not being amongst the worst, are not amongst the best.

If you're getting an SLI board, you'll probably want to get yourself an SLI certified PSU, so that you could add another graphics card further down the line. The list is available in the FAQ of www.slizone.com.

Cool thanks!

Stupid question, but how would adding another viedo card improve quality more than what I have now? How much more would it really add to the gaming experience and multimedia and would it really be worth the cost?

A second video card wouldn't increase the quality of the video, just the performance, ie, higher frame rates in games.
