No power To Abit board

I bought my Abit Nf-8 in september. built the machine in my signature.
2 days ago while working it just shut off. i thought it was the power supply so i bought the Ultra been meaning to up grade ant way.
Now the little Led lites(LED1{5VSB}) up to show the power supply is connected but when you you press the power rocker there seems to be no system power.. i.e. the system power light (LED2{VCC}) does not come on.
i am waiting on feedback from Abit. this is my second computer i have put together and i wondering how i can trouble shoot whether power is reachng the board. And whether the powersupply was really bad in the first place.
Any help would be appreciated.

Did you check all the connections to make sure you didn't miss anything? Did you make sure you connected the 4 pin connection next to the CPU - it is often forgotten.

Try this troubleshooter. You must remove the motherboard from the case when doing this. Post your results.
