Post
I started my computer last night without a HDD (its arriving today or monday) and I got to the setup screen with the error message system disk error(which I expected). But my question is should I have heard a POST beep because it didnt make any sounds or does it only post with a hdd connected, I checked the speaker cable and it was connected.

If you can get into to change BIOS settings, then POST should have went OK (otherwise you'd have more errors or no boot at all).
I don't have experience with case speakers (mine is integrated), but could the connector be flipped? |

I'll try flipping the connector tonight.
But what normally happens during a POST fail (ie what type of error messages) |
