Processor help needed
i just bought an AMD athlon 64 3700+ and it came with a fan and a heatsink but do i need thermal compound to install it? Is thermal compound the same as TIM? if i need to use compound how do i use it? Please Help Me!!!!!!!!!!

If you bought retail it probably comes with the compound already on the heatsink, you should have to peel off this almost like tape on the bottom of the heatsink then attach.

it is retail and so that it just peel it off and put the heatsink on?
