First Build Review?
How's it look so far?
Also, is Linux an option for a gaming computer? I've heard it is hard to use and not all games work on it. Potsy. |

Looks good to me. Although that ASUS power supply looks like good quality, if you're planning on adding a second graphics card in the future, you may as well purchase an SLI-Certified PSU now. The list can be found in the FAQ of www.slizone.com.
There are more reliable hard drive manufacturers out there than Hitachi. Many simply don't trust their Deskstar line since it took what was a poor quality lineup from IBM. I'd personally go for Seagate. You may get conflicting views on the Linux issue, but for me, Linux gaming would certainly not be worth the hassle. Freakitchen

Yikes! That's an awfully expensive burner there. It seems way overboard for your purposes. You can get a LITE-ON or NEC drive for about $100 less, and it should still do what you want to do with it. With that saved money you could go for a 7800GT (which would be better for gaming than an expensive burner).
