After reading these forums and doing some reseach I have selected the hardware for my first build. This computer will be used for java and c programming, as well as internet, and "office" applications (no gaming), I will also be installing linux (SUSE 10) as my OS. Im sure there will be some changes but how does this sound, my budget is around $400-500 soi this is a no "frills" computer.

Also I tried to make sure everything is compatiblie but would like a second opinion if this setup would work? Feel free to make changes or any recomendations. I may switch to a plain CD / CD burner drive and cut some costs. Also, does the hardware above come with the required cables or will I have to purchase those sepertaly? Thanks. ***edit*** The mobo does not have onboard video, so I will need a video card. Any suggestions? I just need a basic card, nothing fancy as I do no gaming. A retail motherboard will come with everything you need that the case doesn't. The one thing you seem to be missing is a video card. Neither of your motheboards have onboard video so you will need one. A Geforce 6200 or Radeon X300 for between $50 - $70 should be fine. Neither will game, but for what you say you want to do either will work.
