mac upgrade

I'm looking to upgrade my Blue and White G3 mac tower. I was wondering if i could buy a G4 400mhz CPU to upgrade it with? Or how would i go about upgrading it? I'm going to be running pro tools on it, and using it for a home recording computer. I also plan on upgrading the hard drive and the RAM. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
