First build
Guys,
I need some guidance on building my first computer. The system will be for gaming. My old computer will not handle games like WoW and AEOIII and I am anxious to play those games. I want to try to build my own computer. It does not matter which CPU brand I use or any other name brand. I just want to keep the cost of the machine to about $700 for all the parts. I have the monitor. Is this do-able and if so I would like some recommedations. Much appreciated. |

Yeah, you should be able to build something halfway decent.
Antec case w/450W power supply - $100 (Sonata II) ASUS P5GD2-X - $100 Intel 630 - $180 1gig (2 x 512MB) DDR2 533 - $70 (Corsair Value Select) eVGA 6600GT PCI-E - $140 80GB SATA hard drive - $60 DVD-RW - $40 (LITE-ON) Win XP home - $90 Argh..that's $40 over budget. Do you have an optical drive that you could borrow from an old computer for the time being? Then you'd be right on budget.
