Case and motherboards?

I'm new to this whole 'building your own PC concept,' so bear with me. I was looking on Newegg and I saw that the ports on the back of the cases and the ports on the motherboards didn't line up. I was just wondering if this matters or not.

It does not matter. The plate on the case is removeable and the mobo will come with it's own to replace what you remove from the case.

Unless.. your an idiot like me.. and forget to put the I/O shield BEFORE you mount the motherboard and put everything together.. and you end up going "O CRAP, I FORGOT TO PUT IT IN", and the worst is I have a heatsink grill >_< owch, so now i ducktape it on
