Trouble with build

This is a repost from a previous post that i put in. I just want to see if anyone has any new idea before i break down and buy a new motherboard. The motherboard that i have chosen is the ASUS K8V SE Deluxe with a Athlon 64 3400 processor. When i tryed to power it up for the first time a lovely voice came across telling me that the "CPU failed self test". It does not give me the option to go into the BIOS or anything. It sits at a blank screen and basicly says screw you. I did the basic trouble shooting of removing components one by one to see if it was maybe something wrong with something that i had in it but still go the same message no matter what i did. I also removed the CMOS battery and as well moved the jumper to clear the BIOS. It is a OEM motherboard and processor from Tigerdirect. I have already purchased another processor with the same result. I do not have a heatsink on the processor i have opted for liquid cooling. I thought that might be the issue so i used the heatsink and fan that came with the second processor with no luck. Someone please help me because the last thing that i want to do i break down and buy another motherboard.

Thanks

Posting a link to your other thread would be nice, as that way folks can see what you've already tried (or not). If it's a new mobo, why not just RMA it if that is what you think it is?

I agree. Contact Asus tech support. They will have you run a few tests and RMA the board if it necessary.
