Boom verifying dmi pool data

This is my first build and iwas so excited when i finnaly got my OS to start ldownloading. But when loading the software I had to hit f8 if i wanted to agree with the microsoft liscence. My keyboard's f8 key isn't working so I decided to exit the setup untill I got a new keyboard. After I borrowed one from a friend, I booted up my computer and it stays on the message "veryifying dmi pool data" for forever. Any ideas on what to do?

Unplug the motherboard from the wall outlet and then open up the case. Remove the motherboard battery for 15 minutes. Put the battery back in, close up the case, plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and power up the system.

Please give us the complete system specs for this computer. List the parts by brand and model including the power supply.

If the computer has no bootable files on the drive it is attempting to boot from it is possible that the computer may halt at " verifying dmi pool data...".

To resolve this issue:

* Boot from a bootable floppy diskette. Ensure that this diskette was made on the same Microsoft Windows operating system that is installed on your computer.
* Once at the A:\> prompt type "sys c:" and press enter. This should report the message "File system transferred". Once transferred remove the diskette and reboot the computer.

If the computer continues to not boot attempt to re-create the master boot record by booting from the bootable floppy diskette again. Once at the A:\> prompt type "fdisk /mbr" and press enter. This should return you to the prompt without giving you any message. Once at the prompt remove the diskette and reboot the computer.

There is no DOS in WinXP. He would need a bootable floppy or CD with DOS on it if he wants to boot to DOS.

Check your boot order in the bios. Make sure its set as the CD Drive to boot first. Insert the cd and you should be able to proceed to install windows.

Congrats on getting your first computer working.

What priority did you mess up? The boot device priority or the drive priority jumpers?
