planing to build first gaming pc need help?

Hi there i am planing to build my first gaming pc i all ready got a pc case its a atx mid-tower-case and i got a 600 watt power supply for the case so now i need help finding a good mother board thats good for gaming one with two PCI-E SLOTS..... i am looking to spend around $199 to$400 for a good mother board if you can help me please let me know thanks

Just curious, what brand PSU did you get? Some are quite the pieces of junk.

Also, that is a good motherboard...but for what kind of processor AMD or Intel?

well i do pc repair i have my own shop i will just get all the others parts from the shop i just never messed with a gaming pc befor so thats why i need a good mother board for a gaming pc

most likely AMD for gaming... the 3700+ is the best bet for gaming, best bang for buck... but if you want to take it to the extreme, get the FX-57 for about a thousand bucks from newegg lol

well i was thinking about getting the AMD athlon 64x2 4400 plus dual core processor with windows xp x64

Id wait on the windows 64, it still has alot of problems with driver support.

Good processor, though i do think its a bit over kill with price. Id personally go with a AMD X2, probly the 3700+ as mygro said or a 3800+.
