Everything seems to work...

I got all the hardware on my new rig installed, but for some reason i boot it up and when it goes to load xp, i get an error message saying the the media test failed, check cable.... which cable is it talking about.


My rig-

I would go into BIOS and see if you can find your hard drive and optical drive listed. If one's not listed, that may be your problem. Try another cable on that one.

i switched my cables out and i am still getting the same error, could it just be the CD drive itself? i mean bios is reconizing there is a cdrom there.

i have my cdrom audio jumper going to the sound card, should i switch that and put that on the mobo?

What is the exact wording of the error message?
