need info about processor?
Hi there i wanted to know about this processor on this page when it says 3800 is that the speed of it or as fast as it gose's

It's the name of the processor, but its clocked speed is 2000mhz, note the 2.0ghz.
However if your thinking of comparing the 2.0 believing that its such a "weak" processor because its compared to an intel your wrong.. so I just want to tell you that... I believe theres a chart to compare AMD and intel but I forgot who posted it. |

AMD Athlon X2 3800+, clock speed: 2.0GHz, L2 cache size: 512KB.
howhever this cpu is dual core, so it dosent run the same as an single core. so its not 3.8Ghz but it has dual core so its like 2.0ghz twice. the advantage in this, is that windows runs on a core and your game runs on another, so the loading time is faster cause its like you have 2cpus. if you want to compare this cpu to he intels side, then Pentium D 830 is equal to the Athlon X2 3800+
