Starts fine - Won't Stop

My system has been humming along fine, the only problem is that it does not shut off from Windows XP Pro. After selecting "Turn Off," Windows starts shutting down, the screen goes blank, and the case fans turn off. The CPU Fans, however, stay running and the front power switch light stays on. If I press the front power switch, the CPU fans immediately go off.

I flopped the mobo power pins connections, no change.

Suggestions?

TIA

Try this: "Control Panel" "Performance and Maintenance" "Power Options"
Set everything to "Never"

No Progress

Tried everything suggested....no go, the case fans turn off, the screen goes black, the CPU fans continue to run until I press the power button.

Stumped.

Check the power management settings in the BIOS.

Still Stuck

Thanks Cricket.

Tried that, switched the settings on & off & in combinations. No change.

Disconnected the front-panel headers from the mobo; no change.

Took out all cards. No change.

What brand power supply are you using? Is it the proper type for the motherboard you're using?

ANTEC Customer Support says they are compatible, but suggests that I set the BIOS to 'Default" and give it a try. Will do later this evening.
