New build blank screen
I have seen this pop up many times throught this forum, but just want to push my diffuclties across
I am building a computer for office duties and internet etc, no serious gaming ASUS K8V-MX series Mobo AMD 2600 SKT754 CPU KIngston DDR400 1GB (2 sticks of 512 184-pin ) Seagate 250GB HD LG 16x Dual layer DVD-RW I have put the products together to the stage of in the case with the CPU/heatsink fitted to the MOBO all power on and connected the RAM is fitted in connected to a moniter and nothing happens blank screen The one thing that concerend me when i was installing the ram was that it seemed diffiucult to fit, whilst this is my frst time building a pc i have fitted RAM modules many times and have always found it easy, whereas this one was very awkward, and still does nt seem 2 be seated correctly, when i turn power on and start-up firstly i got no beeps, so i turned off and took out the ram then obviously i got 3 beeps which for AMI i think means RAM problem which was obvious bcuz id removed it so i reinstalled the RAM and theh powered up and again No beeps this time, does this mean my RAM is ok but theres another problem say maybe MOBO?? Regards Chris |

What kind of video card and Power Supply are you using? Do you have any to swap with to check if they are working properly? Is the 4 pin connector (2x2) near the top of your board connected?
