BareBones Headache

I bought a barebone System from TigerDirect and have had only problems so far....

It worked fine for a few days until I went to power up one day and there was no Video. I guessed it was the Video Card, sent it back and got a new one. It worked fine until I turned it on the next day and there was no video. For kicks I hooked up a TV via S-video and got the video back. Then I changed the Driver to the one that the card shipped with and everything was working again. However, that only lasted a few weeks. When I left the system on 24/7 as soon as I started to turn it off again after a few days there was no Video. I tried the TV w/ s-video and that had no Video this time too. So I decided to have a Tech look at it. After $75 they said the motherboard will not post. I got a RMA # and then returned the motherboard ad received a new one. I put in the new one and everything worked. The system was out for a month, so I updated windows and restarted it and then again, NO VIDEO. I need some suggestions as to what is going on, what is the problem. Thank You.

Do you have another compatible power supply you can swap in to test with?

Make sure the video card is properly seated.. Check that the ram is properly seated.. Try it with on stick at a time...

Removed and reinstalled Video Card and RAM. Stilll no video.

So I Cleared CMOS data. and Booted Got Video. But get a post error of 7F Changed CPU, Please Reset in CMOS

F1 to Continue, Del for CMOS

if I Continue Windows loads fine

If I go to CMOS and ONLY change the time save and Exit I'm back to no video Then must Clear CMOS to get Video back. I checked and I do have the latest Bios.

Any suggestions?

Thank You

Check the mother board for jumpers to set the correct FSB to match the CPU speed or check in the BIOS for the same thing.

Jumper was set Right. Changed Bios from 200MHz to 166MHz and seems to have taken care of the Problem.

Thank You
