New build problems

Put everything together, everything seems to be plugged in correctly but the computer turns on but the monito light stays orange ive tried two different gfx cards and nothing...

6800

80 gig maxtor

3200+

xclio 450

MSI Neo2 Platinum.

Please help meh out.

What brand of power supply do you have installed? Also a better description of parts will help...

HDD - Maxtor 80 gig

MOBO - K8N Neo2 Platinum

GFX - Apollo 6800

Case - Chenming Server Tower.

try building it out of the case. something may be shorting and you don't know it.

My son had a similar problem after replacing motherboard and ps. His monitor light kept blinking and could not get it to come on when starting the comp. Told him to cut off both the comp and the monitor, restart comp and then restart monitor. All is well. Maybe this can work for you. (I assume the orange light is same condition as his blinking light.)
I knew to tell him this based on a previous experience myself.....
