Onboard sound
hey guys, just built a computer with asus motherboard with onboard sound and everything looks good except the sound isnt working? any ideas?

yes its enabled.... i should have mentioned i checked that.

Have you installed the chipset drivers for the Asus motherboard? What motherboard do you have?

Asus P4P800-E Deluxe board. I did install the chipset that came on a cd with the board. I'm gunna see if there are any new versions on their site.

Before you do anything make sure that the sound chip is enabled in the device manager or go to control panel, audio setting, hardware and enable the sound chip.
Usually you wont get sound if this is not enabled even if its enabled in bios. I've tested it on my dell. |
