First time builder

Hi, this is my first build and i wanna know your thoughts on this build. im on a budget, around $700-800 so this isnt exactly the greatest build. i also wanna know if everything is compatible. Thanks

Looks pretty good. You'll need an OS too. XP Home OEM would do. Also, if you get the Retail version of that drive you'll get a copy of Nero - or all LITE-ON burners come with Nero.

That's almost the exact same build I did 4 months ago. I have the A8N-E mobo instead, but I'm not sure exactly what the difference is. My CPU is the 3000+, and it's plenty fast enough. The only thing I might suggest, if this is for gaming, is to get another gig of memory. Games like Battlefield 2 really use it. This build will play any game currently out at max settings, so I think you'll be happy. I know I am.

Oh yeah i forgot about the OS. Thanks for reminding me. I guess ill get the XP Home then. Hmm didn't know about getting Nero for retails. I'll be looking into that and Lite-On.

Yes this will be for gaming. Maybe down the line ill add another gig. Right now i need to save up.

Yeah I hope this build will make me happy

Nice build, almost like mine, except i decided to get the DFI LANparty, I'll move up to 2GB of Crucial Ballistix later, but i'm settling for 1 just to build ASAP, i'm also settling for a 6800GS, but with eVGA's step-up program i'll have 90days to save up for a 7800GT or GTX
